Your experts and hosts
Moira Mevissen – Cruise Express Host
Moira has worked in partnership with Cruise Express for over 10 years. As a frequent cruiser, Moira loves life at sea but her passion for cruising was matched in 2016 by her discovery of crochet. “I just get lost in the magic of it and I can’t wait to see others enjoy crochet’s many charms on this very special cruise” Moira says. Moira is also a hospitality professional and will ensure everyone – including partners – is well looked after and enjoys themselves.
Kathy Hodgetts – Crochet Teacher
Kathy taught herself to crochet almost a decade ago and crochet quickly became her passion and obsession. She was making so many items she started selling at local markets monthly whilst continuing to work part time, and loved seeing the smiles on peoples faces when they were looking at her creations. Kathy loves sharing her skills, love and passion for crochet and creating with others.
Her classes focus on creating an item in one or two sessions – learning the skills needed to complete that particular item that has been carefully selected. Additionally she also shows what the students can further create with those skills. Other classes then build on these skills. She does provide a warning to her students – “Crochet is addictive” . . . but what an addiction to have!

Everything that Cruise Express organised from the very start right through to the finish was of the highest order
Val and I had the most wonderful time on the Crown and Country cruise tour. The six excursions were great and our Tour Manager, Warren was really top dog, nothing was a bother to him as we had a good bunch of fellow travellers with us and all got on very well indeed.I am sure he had some anxious moments but it didn’t show. We had the most perfect weather all the way, we were so blessed. Everything that Cruise Express organised from the very start right through to the finish was of the highest order. If we choose to go on another holiday we would certainly check with your company before anyone else such was the professional way everything was organised.Brian and Val, Callala Bay NSW

This was our third hosted trip with Cruise Express.
We joined Cruise Express’ Crown and Country cruise tour around the British Isles last month and we really enjoyed it. Everything was well organised by Cruise Express and our host, Warren, was wonderful.
We really liked the tour inside Buckingham Palace and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo which was just spectacular. This was our third hosted trip with Cruise Express.

I would highly recommend this cruise.
A girlfriend and I decided that we needed to see more of Australia so we booked a Ponant Kimberley cruise from Darwin to Broome through Cruise Express. The trip was fabulous and most enjoyable and the ship, Le Laperouse, was excellent though I did put on a few kilos! I do like small ships like her too.
The Kimberley was amazing – so remote and beautiful and quite overwhelming. I loved seeing the crocodiles on the banks of the gorges and the turtles and dugongs in the brilliant blue water. The Montgomery Reef was also wonderful. I would highly recommend Ponant Kimberley.

I’ve been on lots of cruises but this was the best so far.
I booked a Ponant cruise with a girlfriend from Darwin to Broome through Cruise Express last month aboard the new Le Laperouse and it was fantastic- such a great trip. I loved sitting in the Zodiacs to go up close to amazing rock formations. Watching the sunset and the moon rise at the same time in such an incredible place was also wonderful. The naturalists onboard were so passionate about the Kimberley. I’ve been on lots of cruises but this was the best so far. I highly recommend this cruise to anyone.

So efficient and friendly and nothing was ever a problem
Our river cruise from Amsterdam to Prague with Evergreen was wonderful – the most relaxing holiday I think we’ve ever had. The food and staff were great, the scenery just beautiful and we were upgraded too which was a bonus. Grant (our Cruise Express agent in Perth) was just fantastic in arranging everything too. So efficient and friendly and nothing was ever a problem. This was our first river cruise but we’d like to do another – perhaps one of the French river cruises.
