Embarkation/disembarkation:  Your ticket or your Cruise Express Travel Specialist will advise of a suggested arrival time and what time you can board according to your deck. For us it was a smooth process and this usually happens when passengers arrive at their allocated time.

Main features: Shows include the Ice Odyssey, Queen Tribute Show, Comedy Show and Broadway Tribute Show. These shows are appropriate for all ages. The Dream Works parade on the Promenade Deck was outstanding.

Most suited to: 30 – 60 year olds although there is really something for everyone.

Atmosphere: Very fun and vibrant.

Encounters with staff: Voyager of the Seas’ staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner staff in Main Dining room were very efficient and remembered our drinks orders from night to night which added a personal touch. There were information touch screen on every deck to help navigate our way around ship.

Staterooms: The staterooms are spacious, clean and laid out for maximum space. Inside cabins feature a large mirror to give a more spacious feel. There were pullman bed positions (a bed that pulls down from the ceiling or the wall) to maximize the space available. The ship is equipped with North American standard 110 volts AC and standard European 220/230 volts AC outlets, so an adapter is required.

A hairdryer is supplied in the room as well as a safe. Your updated account details are located on the in-room TV so you can keep an eye on your onboard spending. As an added bonus, to our delight, on the second night we came back to a towel animal hanging from the ceiling!

Dining: There are amazing options onboard Voyager of the Seas for dining from the casual buffet in Windjammers, to À la carte dining at Sapphire, as well as light refreshments in the Promenade Café throughout the day. If you wish to attend one of the specialty dining rooms we would advise that you book in advance as these options are very popular. Izumi offered a specialty once a cruise sushi cooking class with the head chef that was very popular.

Entertainment: The shows were absolutely fantastic and of the highest quality. We recommend looking at your cruise planner each night to plan the daily shows in order not to miss out.

Activities: There are so many activities to chose from on Voyager of the Seas – mini golf, flow rider surfing, table tennis, rock climbing, a basketball court, ice skating, gym and a jogging track. Different levels of Kids Clubs include the ‘Aquanauts’ for ages 3-5, the ‘Explorers’ suitable for ages 6-8 and the ‘Voyages’ for 9-11 year olds. Kids Clubs are open until 10pm to allow parents to enjoy a meal and a show without the children.

We thoroughly enjoyed the great atmosphere at a pool party on the second night, with a large crowd joyfully participating in the Latin dance lessons.

For a quieter, more relaxing experience and kid-free zone, the ship features an adult only pool with two hot tubs.

Inclusions: You will have three options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Shows, activities, ice skating and live music at the different venues are included as well as Kids Club during nominated times. Juice, soft drinks and water are available during meal times.

Exclusions: Alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, specialty coffee and bottled water are excluded. Drinks packages are available to purchase ideally before you leave.

Self serve laundry:  A self-serve laundry is not available onboard however an in-room laundry and dry cleaning service is available for a small fee. Be mindful to check time requirements with your room steward to ensure your clothing returns the same day.

Noteworthy: You need to scan your cruise card to use a pool towel. Be mindful to return the towel once you are done for the day to avoid being charged $25USD.

Smoking is not permitted on the ship other than in designated smoking areas.

We recommend setting up your automatic account payment using a credit card prior to departure day as those paying cash are often caught in long queues delaying disembarkation.
