After leaving Singapore, this richly varied voyage arrives at Port Klang, the cultural gateway to Kuala Lumpur, closely followed by Georgetown on Penang, a colorful city that blends Malay and Chinese cultures. The blissful beaches in Phuket, Thailand, are next, before Port Blair, a remote island in the Andaman Sea that is well off the tourist trail. After two days at sea, our next stop is Hambantota, with its botanical gardens, then we sail to Colombo, Sri Lanka’s bustling capital. We set a leisurely pace spending a day sailing to Cochin, then another day sailing to Goa’s serene shores at Mormugao. We conclude our journey with an overnight stay in Mumbai, and ample opportunity to soak up the city’s effervescent energy.
