‘Win a Viking Cruise’ Competition
Terms and Conditions of Entry
This promotion is sponsored by Travelations Pty Ltd trading as Cruise Express, ABN 31 095 788 177, located at 87/24 Buchanan Street Balmain NSW 2041, and herein referred to as the Promoter.
Entry and Eligibility
1. Information on how to enter and the prize to be won form part of these Conditions of Entry. Entry into this promotion is deemed as acceptance of these Conditions of Entry.
2. Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or older who, during the promotion period, make a new booking on an eligible Viking cruise through the Promoter and ensure that the required booking deposit is received by the booking provider within the promotion period.
3. Only one competition entry is permitted per eligible booking.
4. Bookings that are cancelled, or for which the required deposit is not received, will be deemed ineligible.
5. Entrants must provide complete and accurate information. The Promoter may disqualify an entrant who provides false or misleading information or otherwise fails to comply with these Conditions of Entry, subject to applicable law.
6. Employees, contractors, agents and judges of the Promoter, and their immediate family members, are ineligible to enter.
7. The promotion commences at 9.00am AEDT on 2 November 2026 and ends at 5.00pm AEDT on 18 December 2026.
The Prize
8. The Supplier of the prize is Viking Cruises. The prize consists of an 8-day Viking Iconic Western Mediterranean ocean cruise from Barcelona (Tarragona) to Rome (Civitavecchia) for two adults sharing a V2 Veranda stateroom, departing on 10 October 2027. The prize is valued at $20,590, includes Viking’s standard cruise inclusions and is subject to Viking’s applicable booking terms and conditions.
9. The prize winner (and travel companion) is responsible for all other expenses and documentation (unless specified), including airfares, pre and post cruise accommodation, optional shore excursions, transfers, additional beverages, personal laundry services, and any other expenses not included in Viking’s standard cruise inclusions, extra activities, incidentals, gratuities, charges to use facilities, in-room charges, passports, visas, vaccinations, travel insurance, spending money, and all other ancillary costs. A credit card imprint or cash deposit will be required from the winner and/or travel companion at check-in before boarding the ship. The Supplier makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination.
10. Eligible entrants must answer the question – “A picture tells a thousand words but your Viking Mediterranean postcard has room for only 25. What would yours say?” via the entry link provided.
11. This competition is a genuine game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. All eligible entries will be judged by representatives of the Promoter, based on the creativity, originality and relevance of their answer to the competition question. The entrant whose response is judged to be the most outstanding will be awarded the prize.
12. The winner will be selected and notified by telephone and email on Monday 21 December 2026. The winner must accept the prize within 14 days of notification. If the winner cannot be contacted, fails to accept the prize within the specified period or is deemed ineligible, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner from the remaining eligible entries, using the original judging criteria. The judges’ decision is final, subject to applicable law. The Promoter’s decision as to the operation of the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
13. No changes or alterations to the prize are possible. If for any reason the winner does not take part or all of the prize at the time specified by the Promoter, then it will be considered forfeited and no compensation will be awarded. The prize is non-changeable, non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit. The prize cannot be combined with other promotional offers. Both the winner and their guest must be 18 years or older on the commencement date of the prize cruise.
14. The prize winner and their travelling companion will require valid passports for boarding the prize cruise. Obtaining these documents and any necessary visas is the responsibility of the prize winner.
15. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
16. It is highly recommended that the prize winner organises travel insurance in case of cancellation or medical problems that may occur before or during travel.
17. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete or not received due to technical issues, including internet connectivity problems, website errors or Google Forms malfunctions. Entrants are responsible for ensuring their entry has been successfully submitted before the competition closing date. Nothing in this clause excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Personal information collected in connection with this competition will be used by the Promoter to administer the competition, assess entries, contact the winner and arrange the prize. Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available here.
