All the tours, transfers, accommodation and guides were perfect.

Everything went like clockwork and Rosie our contact in Vietnam, checked in and helped us out when needed.

In a word, it was sensational. In fact we ran out of superlatives when we were chatting about it to friends and family. It’s probably not for cruisers who like to party but if you like adventures and being active, it delivers in spades. We hiked, we kayaked and yours truly did the polar plunge – woohoo.

We participated in their citizen science programme, attended almost every lecture and thoroughly enjoyed the chance to talk to the scientists they had on board. And then of course there was the scenery, the wildlife and the chance to more fully understand the history and culture of the Greenlandic people.

It was truly the trip of a lifetime!

“Our Kimberley Cruise with Ponant exceeded our expectations.

Being welcomed on board by the Captain with a warm handshake, we knew we were in for a spectacular cruise. The crew all over the ship were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Service was first class in restaurants and bars. Cabin was roomy and very comfortable, with cabin attendant like a personal butler. But the food all over the ship was sublime.

Our expeditions off ship by zodiac were manned by expert guides who knew the Kimberley inside out. Safety was their number one priority in all outings. Highly recommended”.

“Our last sleep on the Ghan was a lively one – the carriage rocked and swayed but we managed some intermittent sleep. After another scrumptious breakfast, we rolled gently into Parklands Terminal in Adelaide. Some of our group were staying on in Adelaide, Wally and I were off to the airport for a very, very long wait for our flight home. On a whim I enquired if our booking could be altered and viola we were on a plane in less than an hour.

We arrived home safe and sound and grateful after a truly fabulous 16 days in the Australian outback: days filled with red earth, wide blue skies, ancient stories and new friendships, and an unforgettable train journey.
