This epic 17 day journey will traverse Norway & Finland by land & sea, showcasing the magnificent nature of the region, magical experiences, and stays in unique accommodation. Get ready to experience a winter wonderland on this adventure! Chase the Northern Lights throughout the Arctic, sample wonderful cuisine and experience the local culture.
Your locally escorted small group tour begins in Norway’s capital Oslo and ends in the Finnish capital Helsinki. Enjoy a train trip on the world famous Flåm Railway before joining Hurtigruten’s Coastal Express northbound from Bergen to Kirkenes. Visit charming hamlets, sail through picturesque fjords and chance a sighting of the magnificent Northern Lights as you journey north into Arctic Norway – one of the most scenic destinations in the world!
From Kirkenes in Norway’s far north, cross into Finland and travel through Finnish Lapland. A range of experiences await including an overnight stay in a glass igloo to marvel at the night sky, husky and reindeer excursions and insights into the local Sami culture. Continue south to discover Rovaniemi, the official home town of Santa Claus, before arriving to the bustling capital Helsinki at the conclusion of this incredible winter adventure!

The Northern Lights promise
No trip to the Arctic Circle in winter is quite complete without experiencing the ultimate Aurora Borealis light show at least once during your journey. If the Northern Lights do not appear on your journey, Hurtigruten will offer their ‘Northern Lights Promise Policy’, providing a 6 or 7-day Classic Voyage FREE OF CHARGE. The promise is applicable on select voyages between 1 October and 31 March each year. Full terms and conditions are available upon request.
