Southern Food & Wine Adventure
19 September 2024 - 6 days Get off the beaten path!
from $3,090* pp twin | $3,690* solo
Southern Food & Wine Adventure – our annual culinary expedition takes a new turn as we head south to the borderlands of NSW and Victoria. Come with us to discover the restaurants, wineries, distilleries and producers that make this region so remarkable.
Visit Walla Park, an exclusive farm visit to learn about Wiradjuri culture, take in a shearing demonstration, visit Morgan’s Lookout and enjoy lunch featuring local produce and beverages. Visit Corowa where three locals bought an abandoned silo full of pigeon poo for $1 and turned it into an award winning whisky distillery.
Lunch at De Bortoli’s in Rutherglen? Absolutely! An afternoon cruise on Lake Mulwala? Yes that too!
We’ll even board the former ‘Spirit of Progress’ at Yarrawonga and enjoy stops to view the spectacular silo art on the way to Benalla. We’ll take in the surrounding countryside from Tallis Winery at Dookie and sample local wines over lunch at the Harvest Home Hotel at Avenel.
This tour goes way off the beaten path. Come with us – your taste buds won’t regret it.
The Cruise Express difference
Unique and exclusive
We privately charter our heritage trains and our own carriages aboard the XPT, so you’ll travel as part of an exclusive Cruise Express group. We also visit some out of the ordinary places and travel on rail lines rarely, if ever, used by passenger trains. Our itineraries are unique and carefully curated to allow you more time in each destination. And with our experienced team of Cruise Express Tour Managers onboard, all the little details are taken care of. See more, do more, stay longer!
