Savings of up to 30 percent, low solo supplement fares for Kimberley
and complimentary wilderness adventure in Wyndham

Media Release December 13, 2019

The popularity of Kimberley cruising is set to grow with French line, Ponant, introducing its latest, luxury expedition ship, Le Bellot, to the region in 2021.

Named after a 19th century, French, Arctic explorer, the sleek, 184-guest expedition ship will be launched in April 2020, featuring an underwater, multi-sensory lounge where whale-shaped windows, hydrophones and video cameras enable guests to experience life underwater without getting wet. Le Bellot will also boast two restaurants, two lounges, a theatre, pool, spa sanctuary, gourmet cuisine, personalised service and intimate ambience.

To mark the debut of Le Bellot to the wild and remote Kimberley in 2021, Cruise Express is offering savings on fares of up to 30 per cent as well as an exclusive and complimentary wilderness adventure from the Kimberley town of Wyndham. A low solo supplement of just 20 percent is also available.

The fares and offers are available on five 10-night expedition cruises aboard Le Bellot from Darwin to Broome between April and July 2021.

Cruise highlights include majestic King George Falls, Montgomery Reef, mangrove crocodile habitats and the world-famous Horizontal Falls where seawater thunders horizontally at high tide through a narrow break in the cliffs, forming huge rapids – a phenomenon described by David Attenborough as one of the greatest wonders of the natural world.

The expedition will include multiple, guided excursions on Zodiacs and informative lectures onboard, and to help toast the magnificent scenery, drinks will be complimentary, including your own stateroom mini-bar.

Twice the size of Victoria, the ancient and pristine Kimberley wilderness encompasses magnificent waterfalls, remote coves, indigenous rock art, abundant wildlife and majestic coastal cliffs that glow red at sunset.

Fares are available from $9,990 per person, twin-share, or from only $11,990 for solo travellers, which include savings of up to 30 percent. In Wyndham, guests can choose one of three complimentary wilderness experiences including a flight over the spectacular Bungle Bungle Ranges, a wildlife day cruise or a day exploring the rugged gorges and swimming holes of El Questro Station, where the film Australia was filmed in 2008, starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman.
