Experience the December 2021 Solar Eclipse over the Southern Ocean/Antarctica, all in the comfort of a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
On this once-in-a-lifetime journey, the expected eclipse viewing time is approximately one minute and thirty seconds. The flight focus will be primarily on viewing the eclipse and although there is a chance that passengers may be able to see Antarctica and/or icebergs in the Ross Sea, this is not the primary focus of the flight and it may not be possible if there is significant cloud cover over this area on the day. Cloud cover, however, will not impact viewing of the total solar eclipse as you will be above all weather systems and the priority of the flying time will be to carefully position the aircraft for the eclipse, allowing the optimum view of the phenomenon.
