Here is your opportunity to experience all the excitement and entertainment of the internationally renowned Warbirds Over Wanaka Airshow in April 2026.
This unforgettable aviation experience features WWII aircraft alongside modern planes from the Royal New Zealand, Australian, and United States Air Forces. There will be more than 80 aircraft, including iconic warbirds, sleek jets and helicopters.
Wanaka is the most spectacular venue in the world to host New Zealand’s biggest aviation event. Nestled on the shores of an azure blue lake amongst the mighty peaks of the Southern Alps, the natural amphitheatre created by these mountains provides a backdrop of stunning scenery.
For two days over Easter, Lake Wanaka will be centre stage for an extravaganza of high-octane aviation excitement. Famous warbirds join forces with classic aircraft of yesteryear and modern jets of today to present a feast of aviation action and thrilling aerobatic displays.
Queenstown will be your base with flights, transfers and accommodation included on this wonderful 5 day itinerary.

Gold Pass* inclusions:
Gold Pass tickets give you the best seats at the airshow in a grandstand situated directly in front of the runway. The Gold Pass area has its own bathroom facilities, food and drink stalls and a closed-circuit television to watch the airshow. With your Gold Pass you also receive a pack with an eco-branded bag, dated gold cap and badge, and airshow program.
Note – Gold Pass inclusion is guaranteed for all tour places fully paid before 19 December 2025. From 20 December 2025 onwards, the Gold Pass inclusion is subject to availability.
A reminder that the Warbirds flying program for both days may vary in content and sequence and will be subject to aircraft availability and serviceability.
