Our unique journey begins in style with an exciting two day journey aboard the heritage railmotor 621/721. Visit Paterson, the home of the Rail Motor Society, before continuing through the Hunter Valley for lunch at Muswellbrook. After crossing the Dividing Ranges we pause at Werris Creek to view the collection at the Rail Journeys Museum before continuing across the vast Breeza Plain. After an overnight in Gunnedah, home of Dorothea Mackellar’s famous poem ‘My Country’, we take in the spectacular silo art which commemorates the poet.
Stop for a traditional pub lunch at Narrabri then continue to Moree where we join the rarely travelled former Boggabilla Branch bound for the outpost of North Star. After a short transfer by coach, we overnight in Goondiwindi with dinner at the iconic Victoria Hotel. From Goondiwindi we take in the sights and sounds of our very own steam-hauled heritage train. Settle back in heritage carriages as the countryside rolls by on our way for a stop at Inglewood for lunch. Continue to Warwick for an overnight before heading north to Toowoomba.
After a night in Brisbane our adventure then heads to sea aboard the beautiful Crown Princess for a three night voyage to Newcastle and Sydney. Relax in the spa, take part in endless activities, enjoy a myriad of dining choices or perhaps choose to do nothing at all. The choice is yours!
