14 December 2023 | Broken Hill – Arrive in the ‘Silver City’ of Broken Hill as the day begins. Embark on a morning ‘off train’ excursion to discover the mining history and artistic culture of this unique town where the streets are wide and there’s a pub on every corner. Lunch is served onboard as the Indian Pacific enters the southern tip of the spectacular and ancient Flinders Ranges. Adelaide – Arriving in the city of Adelaide this afternoon, choose from a tour of the city, a visit to the world famous Barossa Valley or McLaren Vale wine regions (seasonal), or a trip to the beautiful Adelaide Hills featuring the culinary delights of Hahndorf. Perth – Breakfast is served as you glide through the mild skies and cool green vales of the Avon Valley on your way to Perth, arriving after an onboard lunch. Disembark the train at East Perth Terminal and transfer to your hotel for a five night stay in the city centre. Situated beside the Swan River, Perth is a magical place to explore. Start in Kings Park on Mount Eliza for an enchanting treetop walk. Indulge in some retail therapy with a visit to the high-end fashion boutiques of King Street. You can’t miss the historic port of Fremantle with its prison & shipwreck galleries. And just north east of Perth lies the Swan Valley, Western Australia’s oldest wine region. |
