Special luxury voyage in 2021

…to some of the world’s wildest and most remote places

Media Release – November 18, 2019

The only cruise line in the world to offer butler service in every cabin aboard its ships will take guests on a luxury voyage to some of the world’s wildest and most remote destinations in 2021.

Silversea’s ultra-luxurious flagship, Silver Muse, launched in 2017, will embark on a 24-night journey from Vancouver to Tokyo in August 2021, taking in unusual and less-visited ports in Alaska, the Russian Far East and Japan on the way.

Australian agency, Cruise Express, is showcasing the unique adventure in a new 30-night, fly, stay and cruise package starting with a flight to Vancouver on August 16, 2021, followed by three nights’ accommodation in the spectacular Canadian city.

Guests then board the 596-passenger, all-suite Silver Muse for a 24-night voyage from Vancouver to Tokyo that begins with an in-depth immersion in one of the world’s most beautiful wilderness destinations, Alaska. The itinerary features 11 destinations in Alaska including the State’s famous, glacier-lined bays and smaller, less-visited ports like Wrangell, Kodiak, Dutch Harbor and the small fishing hamlet of Metlakatla – home to the largest native American reservation in Alaska.

Silver Muse will then cross the Bering Sea to reach the remote, far-eastern Russian city of Petropavlovsk, a fascinating, Soviet-era naval and fishing port 6800km from Moscow and with no roads to the outside world. Petropavlovsk is surrounded by wild landscapes filled with volcanoes, geysers, hot pools and up to 30,000 brown bears – the highest concentration of bears in the world. Until 1990, visits to Petropavlovsk were banned and even Russians needed a special permit to come but the region is now open to everyone.

The voyage continues to Tokyo via the two Japanese ports of Kushiro and Hakodate. Two nights’ accommodation in Tokyo – the world’s largest city with 38 million residents – will enable guests to explore the bustling and eclectic metropolis before flying home to Australia.

The 30-night ‘Alaska and the Russian Far East’ package is available from $14,990 per person, twin-share, including return flights, five nights’ hotel accommodation, the 24-night cruise and beverages, mini-bar and butler service aboard Silver Muse. An upgrade to Premium Economy flights is available for $2990 person extra.
