Meg grew up in a small farming community in the heart of Western Australia’s wheat belt. From a very young age, her love for travel was kindled by family camping trips into Australia’s remote north-west.

After completing a journalism degree in the late 1980s, Meg began work in the travel industry, first with a national coach tour company and then several inbound tour operators. In 1995 she moved to Sydney and became involved in the cruise industry, working for Orient Lines for several years. During this time she escorted a number of groups around coastal Australia, to Alaska and the Mediterranean.

The proud mother of daughter Phoebe, Meg loves to keep fit and spends her spare time with family and friends, entertaining at home and in the great outdoors. She is an accredited Cruise Master with the Cruise Lines International Association Australasia (CLIA).

Hardy Schneider

Born in Germany, Hardy moved to Sydney in 1981 and, having discovered his passion for travel, set up a travel agency in Gladesville in 1991.

In 1996 Hardy sailed on the inaugural voyage of the luxurious Crystal Symphony and fell in love with cruising as the ‘only way to travel in style’. Later that year, Hardy launched Cruise Express as a specialist agency and in 2001 he joined forces with Meg and the new, expanded Cruise Express was formed.

As a friendly and outgoing person, Hardy loves to escort several Cruise Express hosted cruise tours each year and is well known for going the extra mile (or more) for our guests. He enjoys a strong following of travellers who have become good friends over the years.

Born in Wimbledon, Clive started his travel career in the 1970s in the UK, working for Sovereign Holidays, a division of British Airways, selling hotels in Benidorm and the Costa Del Sol in Spain, at the peak of the package holiday market in Europe.

After moving to Australia from the UK with British Airways in the 1970s, Clive then joined Seagram, a premium beverage alcohol company, heading up their Airport Travel retail division in Asia for 15 years. He then returned to Australia as a Director of Pernod Ricard, the owner of Jacobs Creek and Chivas Regal.

On “retiring” in 2004, Clive and his wife took to cruising in a mini-suite on ms Noordam on a ‘Roman Empire’ cruise. Deciding that retirement was not what it was cracked up to be, he joined Meg and Hardy at Cruise Express in 2007 in what was thought to be a temporary capacity, soon turning into a full-time role.

Clive became a Director of Cruise Express in 2014 with no foreseeable plans for a second retirement!
